HPTN CORE
The HPTN Coordinating and Operations Center (CORE) is located at FHI360 with the leadership of Wafaa El-Sadr, Columbia University and Myron Cohen, University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. The CORE is responsible for facilitating and managing the scientific agenda and research operations of the HPTN, from research plan development, continuing with concept and protocol review and approval, through study conduct and publication of results. The CORE is also responsible for logistical and administrative support for the HPTN Executive Committee (EC), Prevention Management Group (PMG), scientific committees (SC), working groups (WG), and selected committees.
Staff from the CORE work closely with the HPTN leadership; protocol teams; staff from the SDMC, NL, and CTUs; Division of AIDS (DAIDS) and Trans-NIH Steering Committees; the SCs and WGs; and CTU community programs on all aspects of the HPTN research program.
