Western Blot Proficiency Test

The HPTN requires Quality Assurance of Western Blot testing for enrollment samples and endpoint samples.  All laboratory staff that read and interpret Western Blot results are required to complete proficiency testing approximately every six months.  To help satisfy that requirement, the Network Laboratory will post an image of an actual Western Blot run on this website and relevant laboratory staff from each site will review the image and submit their interpretations of the image to the Network Laboratory via a test form.  The Network Laboratory will report the results to the Laboratory Manager for each site, and will specify any corrective action(s) needed for individuals and/or the site as a whole.
