Louis Shackelford is a Community Engagement Officer at the Legacy Project in the office of HIV/AIDS Network Coordination (HANC). In his role at Legacy, he manages a variety of projects focused on empowering communities disproportionately impacted by HIV and building the capacity for researchers to better serve these communities. Originally from New York City, Louis has extensive experience conducting community level HIV awareness initiatives from his work facilitating HIV prevention studies at the Harlem Prevention Center Clinical Research Site in NYC.
